Obscurus Rex

Forged in sterling silver and utterly one-of-a-kind, this handcrafted shield ring is a chunky, commanding relic—thick, heavy, and unapologetically bold.

Born from 100% recycled silver (identical in purity to newly mined metal), the piece has been sculpted through fire: the surface reticulated (melted) and fused—to create its scarred, post-apocalyptic armour texture. It is then deepened with a dark oxidised finish, allowing the shadows to settle into every crevice.

Its form is intentionally imperfect—not the cold symmetry of machine made mass produced jewellery, but a creation shaped by human hands. Rough, organic, raw… beautifully feral.
At its longest point, the shielded front spans 65mm, and the ring fits a size M.

This piece bears full hallmarks: AWTS (Away With The Spoon), 925, the Lion Passant, Sheffield Assay Office, and A for 2025.

Weight: 43g. Heavy. Substantial. A true fragment of modern armour.
