A bold but delicate paperclip style chain with a beautiful and rare Victorian padlock locket. Hallmarked makers John Millward Banks, Birmingham 1896. A lock without key, made to guard what matters. For secrets kept close and promises never spoken.

The chain length is 17" with a toggle clasp at the back. The drop to the bottom of the locket is a further 4.5". The locket hangs from an elongated oval lobster clasp so the locket can be taken off and added to something else should you wish.

Weight 18g.

There are some light surface scratches and slight patina on the locket, to be expected on antique silver items which have been carefully used and well cared for. The piece is not made from brand new silver, any scratches, slight dents and signs of wear add to it's character ;-)
