Clavis Animae

This striking necklace is re-crafted from vintage and antique silver elements. A bold rope style chain meets a classic T-bar drop hallmarked 1870. A Victorian heart padlock (this does not open, it is a solid charm,) together with the crowning glory of an intricately engraved Victorian locket pendant. The locket’s raised foliate motif, framed with a beaded edge, hints at something secret and timeless — a keepsake of love or memory. Opens and closes securely with a satisfying click. There is a tiny crack inside as can be seen in open locket photo, but this doesn't distract from the beauty of it at all. The locket measures 25mm excluding the bale.

Designed to evoke the sentiment of Victorian watch chains and charms of protection. It carries the soul of something long kept and long cherished.

The chain length is 16" with a toggle clasp at the back. The longest drop of the locket is a further 4".
