Beautiful sterling silver Scottish Luckenbooth brooch, restored with care and gently brought back to life. Adorned with amethyst & citrine pastes. The brooch is hallmarked for sterling silver, Edinburgh 1954, makers William Scott Peat.  Adapted with jump-rings so it may also grace the neck as a pendant.

The term "luckenbooth" describes a traditional Scottish love token, often a heart-shaped brooch, used for betrothal gifts and protection against evil.

Weight approx 8g. Length 40mm (not including the jump-rings.)
