One of a kind necklace incorporating a solid sterling silver antique cormorant style bird (Birmingham 1902.) Together with 2 antique Albert chains, hallmarked 1896 & 1897. Plus a hand stamped plaque with the latin phrase "Amicus verus rara avis," meaning "A true friend is a rare bird." The length of the chain is 18" with another 2.5" drop of the bird & attached chain.

The bird & plaque have been oxidised to bring out the design.

There are some light surface scratches and slight patina, to be expected on antique silver items which have been carefully used and well cared for. The necklace is not made from a brand new pieces of silver, any scratches and signs of wear adds to it's character ;-)

Weight 61g.

Supplied in a pretty fabric drawstring bag.
