Pax Aeterna

This is a solid sterling 925 silver hallmarked vintage coffee spoon. Sizes K or L.

Hand-shaped into a ring by heating, hammering and bending the bowl and handle.
Re-crafted from a solid silver spoon & hand stamped "Pax aeterna," ("Everlasting peace.") With the addition of a Victorian crown from an antique sterling silver threepence. The ring has been oxidised (darkened,) to give the letters depth and stand out, also adding to the antique look and feel of the piece. The original hallmark of the spoon has been hidden underneath the tail end of the spoon as it has been wrapped around. It is now fully hallmarked with my hallmark AWTS (Away With The Spoon,) 925, the Sheffield Assay Mark (the rose,) lion passant (for sterling silver) and "Y" for the year 2023.
There are some light surface scratches, to be expected on vintage silver items which have been carefully used and well cared for. The ring is not made from a brand new piece of silver, any scratches and signs of wear add to it's character ;-) Being hand-crafted, this ring may not be as perfectly round as a mass produced machine made ring might be. This does not affect the fit or loveliness of the ring at all!
