This is a one of a kind necklace, comprising of a vintage sterling silver horseshoe charm, hallmarked makers Henry Griffiths & Sons Ltd., Birmingham 1931. Together with a hand stamped plaque with the latin phrase "Faber est suae quisque fortunae," meaning "Every man is the maker of his own fortune." Complemented with a paperclip style chain and large hand crafted hook clasp.
The length of the necklace is 16" + another 5.75" drop to the bottom of the plaque.
The piece is also fully hallmarked AWTS (Away With The Spoon,) Sheffield Assay mark, & Z (2024.)
There are some light surface scratches, to be expected on vintage silver items which have been carefully used and well cared for.
Supplied in a fabric drawstring bag.
