This is a solid sterling 925 silver hallmarked antique Christening spoon. Sizes O, P or Q.
Hand-shaped into a long chunky ring by heating, hammering and bending the bowl and handle.
Re-crafted from a solid silver spoon. Hallmarked makers Martin & Hall, London 1879.
There are some light surface scratches, to be expected on antique silver items which have been carefully used and well cared for. The ring is not made from a brand new piece of silver, any scratches and signs of wear add to it's character ;-) Being hand-crafted, this ring may not be as perfectly round as a mass produced machine made ring might be. This does not affect the fit or loveliness of the ring at all!
