This is a solid sterling 925 silver hallmarked vintage butter spreader. Sizes T, U or V. (Ideal as a thumb ring, or on the index finger.)

Hand-shaped into a chunky ring by heating, hammering and bending the item into shape.
Re-crafted from a solid silver spreader. Hallmarked makers Gorham manufacturing Co., Rhode Island 1940.
There are some light surface scratches and slight patina, to be expected on vintage silver items which have been carefully used and well cared for. The ring is not made from a brand new piece of silver, any scratches and signs of wear add to it's character ;-) Being hand-crafted, this ring may not be as perfectly round as a mass produced machine made ring might be. This does not affect the fit or loveliness of the ring at all!
